Cali
Hi, My name is Cali (short for Calico) and I am a 1 ½-year-old female Catahoula-mix. I was surrendered by my family as they moved and couldn’t take me with. So a bunch of great rescue people got me to my foster home in Wisconsin and I’m loving it!
Everyone says my blue eyes are my best feature, But I think my sweetness and love of everyone is even better!
I am 62 pounds of pure love. I am lean, but I am strong! I’ll definitely have fun learning my leash manners when we take walks every day! In the meantime, I’m practicing really hard and my foster mom says I do great with redirection. I am housebroken and crate trained and listen well to commands given to me. I’m spayed, microchipped and up to date on my vaccinations.
I would love to have a fenced yard to run in! I love to chew on beef bones and stuffed animals and LOVE treats (I need some reminders to be gentle when taking treats as I am so excited to get them). I love to go for car rides.
I will welcome you home with lots of sniffing and even rolling over for you to pat my belly! I love other pets and children and am very interested in cats but more scared of them if anything.
I have medium to high energy, as I am still young, but with good exercise (walks, dog park or doggie daycare) I tend to tire out pretty quick. I am loving and loyal. I’m looking for a family who will make a life-time commitment to me as I don’t think I could bear losing another family.
Please fill out an application for me today
Rescue Note: Cali is one of the happiest and friendliest dogs we have ever met! She’ll make her adoptive family so happy!
